Recipes for the Future

Our annual benefit gathering, traditionally held at Hacienda la Esperanza in Manatí, became a virtual event which brought together over 200 people from both the Island and the US. This first virtual fundraising event, named Recipes for the Future, was held on Saturday, December 5 via Zoom in support of the Solidarity Fund and in celebration of Para la Naturaleza’s 50th anniversary.

The event included the participation of five renowned chefs: Francis Guzmán from Vianda, Juan Cuevas from 1919, Natalia Vallejo from Cocina al Fondo, Gabriel Hernández from Verde Mesa, and María Mercedes Grubb from El Gallo Negro. The event not only highlighted the talents and cuisines of Puerto Rico, it also created lively connections as this virtual gathering was widely welcomed and supported by the organization’s community of philanthropists in support of the continued work in environmental conservation and historic preservation.
We are grateful for Oriental who served as the official sponsor of the event and we look forward to hosting another extraordinary experience with this year’s event to be held on December 11, 2021.
