Discover El Verde Virtual Plant Biological Station

The presentation of the project is Wednesday 18 at UPR-RP

The Development Area for Technological Applications in CATEC in conjunction with the Herbarium of the University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras Campus have developed a web-based application called “The El Verde Virtual Plant Biological Station”.

The presentation of this project is in charge of Fabiola Areces, PhD Student in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and will be held at room A-211 of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, UPR-RP, Wednesday, September 18, 11:00 a.m.

The El Verde Virtual Plant Biological Station contains information on over 600 species of vascular plants have been recorded for the area. For almost all species are included in the field photos and images of herbarium specimens, but only the species of trees and shrubs (more than 200) containing complete descriptions and included in interactive keys.
