Organized in close collaboration with Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s eBird global tool, these events take groups of volunteers into natural protected areas where they create lists of every bird they are able to identify along the way, either visually or through the sounds they make. At the end of the count, all information gathered is added to eBird’s international database. In this way, volunteers contribute to the knowledge and understanding of bird populations in our islands.
