Local farmers passionately contribute to the chefs' culinary creations

Frutos del Guacabo

Frutos del Guacabo, founded in 2010, is a company dedicated to the production and distribution of local agricultural products to restaurants, hotels and the community. They work with a network of farmers and small producers in the north central area of Puerto Rico.

Their main focus is to increase local food production by creating new opportunities for economic impact and they use education as an engine and the Farm-To-Table movement as a hub to create an ecosystem of social impact.

Al Sol de Hoy

Al Sol de Hoy, founded in 2015, is a company dedicated to promoting food sovereignty in Puerto Rico, through community education, creation of community gardens, production and sale of 100% local products. Its community of farmers are from Barranquitas and neighboring towns.

Their goal is to increase agricultural production in the mountains and ensure that all Puerto Rican families consume and have access to local, fresh and nutritious food at a fair price for all.

Ricardo Abarracín & Vivienne Miranda

Finca Hekiti

Established in 2015, Finca Hekiti, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is an agro-ecological farm in Las Marias and Añasco. Located in Puerto Rico’s northwest, they focus on conserving and managing forests, with an emphasis on biodiversity. Their mission includes education in agroforestry, agriculture, tropical fruit varieties (especially fine grain cacao), forest inventory, and fauna and flora.

Finca Paraíso

It is an ecological farm located in Arecibo that began in 2010. A wide range of fruit, vegetable and ornamental trees are planted while conserving a forested area of approximately 20 acres.

Finca Paraíso has participated in the weekly farmers’ market in Old San Juan since 2011. In addition, they are working on a large-scale planting of patchouli to be used in erosion control projects on the island.

Company located in Corozal dedicated to the production, processing and distribution of fresh pork meat in the island.

Carlos Mundo & Maika Yamila

De la Cuerda P.R.

De la Cuerda is an agricultural project located in Comerío, PR. They promote agriculture as a sustainable means and contribute to food sovereignty.

Among the products they grow are pineapple, radish, broccoli, broccolini, bell peppers, carrots, turnips, beans, tomatoes, beets and lemongrass.
